WHAT IS COUNSELING LIKE?
We meet regularly with the clear intent of improving your life. Through honest communication, we build an intentional partnership based on trust, respect, common goals and hope. Here, you can really be yourself with no need to prove anything or keep secrets. For some people, this becomes one of the most valued and influential relationships of their lives. Approaches include brief therapy, problem-solving therapy, behavioral activation, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), Jungian-influenced psychotherapy, motivational interviewing and eye movement desensitization & reprocessing (EMDR).
Most individual sessions are 50 minutes long and are $120 for 2020. Types of therapies can be offered in combination. Reimbursement may be available from your insurance provider.
HOW DOES ONLINE THERAPY WORK?
Online or remote therapy is just like other therapy except that rather than sitting in the same physical space, the therapist and client meet in a virtual web-based room. Using a webcam and a free, secure platform called Zoom (like Skype but private), counseling is safe, confidential and accessible. You can even use your smartphone for on-the-go therapy.
Individual sessions available featuring singing bowls, rattles, gongs and more. Excellent for mind/body and stress-related issues. No music experience necessary.
